In our recent Ashe Juniper post, we mentioned Robergea albicedrae. Learn more about it in our latest TrueTreeTalk blog post.
Robergea albicedrae
Robergea albicedrae, also known as White Juniper Fungus, is a grayish/white fungus that only grows on Ashe Juniper trees. The white patches look almost like paint and they have nodules that are small and gray. The spores come from inside the nodules. The fungus is parasitic and it’s common among Ashe Junipers. If you’ve come across Ashe Juniper trees around Austin and central Texas, you may have seen this fungus as well.
